Chapter 1Dusty Gulch Dash

Wanda stands on the dusty boardwalk, holding a leather satchel tightly against her chest. The harsh morning sun casts long shadows from the sagging saloon porch behind her.

Buck’s head snaps up, ears pricked and eyes wide with agitation. He shifts his weight, ready to bolt.

Wanda swings her leg over Buck’s back, gripping the reins firmly as the horse rears up in a sudden, violent bucking motion.

Wanda and Buck gallop at full speed, kicking up a cloud of red dust as they exit the town limits. The vast, sun-baked desert stretches out before them.

The Rattler Gang appears on the horizon, riding in a chaotic, bunched-up line. The Bandit Boss is visibly out of sync, leaning back in his saddle.

The lead bandit’s horse stumbles violently, his boot catching on the spines of a low desert cactus. He flails his arms, losing his balance.

The Rattler Gang tumbles into a chaotic pile-up of flailing limbs and tangled reins at the base of the rocks.

The Bandit Boss looks up in shock as his hat is snatched from his head by a rolling tumbleweed.

The entire gang chases the tumbleweed in a chaotic, unaimed frenzy, their horses crashing into each other.

Wanda looks back over her shoulder with a confident, daring grin, reins taut in her hands.

Chapter 3Golden Hour Hero

Wanda and Buck burst into the bustling square, kicking up dust as they approach the courthouse steps. In the background, a large clock tower shows the hands nearing the final minute.

Wanda slides out of the saddle, holding the rolled deed high above her head. She smiles confidently, looking directly at the Governor on the steps.

The Governor's eyes are wide with shock, his mouth hanging open as he stares at the document in Wanda's hand.

A stable door explodes outward as the Rattler Gang crashes into the square in a tangled heap of limbs and horses. The Bandit Boss is buried at the bottom of the pile, looking dazed.

Two uniformed sheriff's deputies quickly handcuff the struggling Bandit Boss while the rest of the gang is hauled away. Wanda stands tall next to Buck, who is eating a carrot offered by a townsperson.

Wanda leans down to pat Buck's nose, her expression soft and proud as the crowd cheers in the background. Buck nuzzles her hand affectionately.

Wanda and Buck stand together in the golden afternoon light, silhouetted against the cheering crowd. In the corner, the Bandit Boss is shoved into a cell, throwing a weak wave.
